Shiho Masuda

art and design

the fine art of gift wrapping

Shiho Masuda is a visual designer who specializes in display design and paper art including gift wrapping and lamp shade design.

Shiho's precise design technique and detail oriented manner come from her earlier practice of Japanese art including folding origami and drawing manga comics.

In the past 5 years, Shiho has focused on creating more elaborate, high-end gift wrapping designs, elevating the idea of gift giving to the next level---the fine art of gift wrapping.

Sophistication and cleanness can be seen throughout her designs, though there is also a sense of playfulness and sexiness.

She has created gift wrapping packages for diverse clients, such as Swarovski, Mercedes Benz and CNBC, in addition to celebrities like Naomi Campbell and Steve Martin. Her work has been featured in various newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, Newsweek, Bridal Magazine, InStyle and Martha Stewart Living.

Shiho has done design work for a number of retail stores in New York City and has also been involved in creating and designing the right atmosphere for parties such as Birthdays, Weddings, Baby Showers and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
