I just bought a lot of paper napkins & shot glasses for the upcoming event and no one would guess that they are for children!

My next workshop is paper napkin fold demonstration at Japan Cultural Center of Hawaii and event is gear toward children and their families celebrating "Bunka No Hi" (Culture Day) and Shichigo San (Seven, Five, Three - celebrate the growth and well-being of young children).

Napkin is necessary for the napkin fold demo but what about the shot glass? Here is how we use the shot glass for the craft!

Note: Shot glass is used for 10"x10" napkin size

Step1: Open the napkin and fold four corners toward the center

Step5: Flip over the napkin and you just made a beautiful water lily container!

JCCH's event is open to the public - a lot of fun and information on Japanese culture and traditions, arts and crafts along with the vendors who sell tasty Japanese foods! Check their website for more info: http://www.jcch.com/index.php/calendar/event/407/
