Shiho Masuda, a founder of Shiho Masuda gift wrapping online school, has been a professional gift wrapping artist/instructor for over 15 years. She has been passionately sharing her ideas and techniques and transforming people’s gift-giving into memorable experiences through the art of gift wrapping.

Shiho 1.jpg

While an international student in New York City, she was enchanted with the world of handmade papers and the art of gift wrapping and her life hasn’t been the same since. She initially provided custom gift wrapping services to individuals and corporations before conducting workshops and classes, teaching others the methods she learned and developed during years of working as a gift wrapping artist.

Shiho 2.jpg

When YouTube emerged, she recognized an opportunity to share her ideas with a larger audience online and started creating and uploading gift wrapping videos, which eventually led her to collaborate with brands and businesses for designing packages and creating custom videos as well as conducting on-site workshops both domestically and internationally, including in the U.S., Thailand, India, Japan, Australia, and China.

In 2016, she established an online gift wrapping school to provide more constructive lesson programs, and currently, more than 2000 students have enrolled in the courses.

Many of her students and viewers expressed interest in learning more about the materials, philosophies, and techniques, and the idea was formed to create a one of a kind workshop tour in the heart of Japan that would provide an immersive experience in the world of gift wrapping.

Shiho 3.jpg

She traveled back to her childhood home of Ehime to research more and to connect with local craftsmen, creating a tour program together. The workshop experiences are carefully designed to help you expand your knowledge and upgrade the quality of your gift wrapping.

Most importantly, she loves teaching in person and wishes to help you transform your gift giving forever through this experience while enjoying the culture, the tradition, and the art of Japan together.
